Trophies & Top Gold at the 2024 Tasmanian Wine Show
Mon 22 Jan 2024
Tasmania — often shrouded in the mystery of its pristine landscapes and (cool) climate influence — has carved a niche for itself in the world of wine, particularly with premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Leading the awards circuit each calendar year is the Tasmanian Wine Show; showcasing wines produced in every corner of the island, whilst both recognising and rewarding the skill and dedication of Tasmanian grape growers and winemakers.
This year we're thrilled to share that a number of exceptional wines from Pirie, Tamar Ridge, Devil's Corner, and Brown Brothers have been recognized among the best, securing top honours across various categories at the 2024 Tasmanian Wine Show.
Trophies & Top Gold
In the sparkling category, our 2011 Pirie Late Disgorged claimed not one but two prestigious trophies: Best Late Disgorged Older Vintage Sparkling and the Chair of Judges Selection. Additionally, our Pirie Sparkling NV was awarded the Trophy for Best Non-Vintage Sparkling. These victories underscore the outstanding craftsmanship and dedication invested in our sparkling wines.
Not to be overshadowed, our still wines have also shone brightly. The Gold accolades received at the Tasmanian Wine Show include Pirie Late Disgorged 2011, Pirie Sparkling NV, Devil's Corner Mt Baudin Chardonnay 2022, Brown Brothers Patricia Chardonnay 2022, and Tamar Ridge Research Series Pinot Noir 2022.
Each of these wines showcases the unique terroir of Tasmania, resulting in wines of exceptional quality and character. The latter two, our newest vintages yet to be released.
To crown our achievements, Brown Family Wine Group was honoured with the coveted Most Successful Exhibitor Trophy, a recognition of the consistent excellence demonstrated across our diverse range of wines.
